How to find a credit card application that's not a rip off!

Credit Card Choices...
I know how much junk mail you receive every month from credit card companies. Everyone is constantly trying to seduce you to apply for their offer. Some even look very promising, but something inside your brain always tells you that someone is trying to rip you off and that's why they found you.
So what do you do to counter attack this barrage of rip-off offers? Well, for starters, don't be tempted to waste even a second on these offers by opening the envelopes. "Every single one is junk," keep telling yourself that to help you resist. If you really need a good credit card, going through your mail is not the right option. Instead, go to a website that has a whole database of credit card offers (such as the official Credit Card Database ccdb.com). Make sure you can do the research of all possibilities before making the move, because each failed application is a toll on your credit history. Do your homework and you'll be ahead of the game.
If you know your credit score, you can also use a search feature that let's you target the best possible applications for your credit score, thus minimizing the chance of getting screwed with a crap offer or denied for too good of an offer. For example, if you punch in your credit score (say 675) in a Credit Card Database search feature (such as this), you will be prompted to all the offer that perfectly suit your score. With this approach, you will always get what you truly deserve, not something that credit card companies bombard you with.
Just remember, never apply for an offer that "looks good." Apply for an offer that's best for you!

Thanks for the info! I hate junk mail credit card offers. Always have to shred them when they come in, because each one has my name on it. I did try that search by score site you posted and it showed me a card I already have, so guess I'm good, but still pretty cool.
